The International Maritime Employers’ Council

Membership

The International Maritime Employers’ Council (IMEC) is run by and exists for the benefit of its members who enjoy exclusive privileges including the benefits of IBF agreements, access to funds to support the welfare and employment of seafarers, and advice and guidance from the dedicated Secretariat team.

Events

On Friday 19 April 2013, IMEC will be hosting the inaugural IMEC industry conference at the DoubleTree Hilton, London. Featuring leading keynote speakers and panel discussions, the conference will give IMEC members, and others, the opportunity to share thoughts and experience and discuss the key issues facing our industry.

IBF

The International Bargaining Forum is the mechanism by which IMEC negotiates on behalf of its members with seafarers unions. The IBF is the only model of international collective bargaining in the maritime industry and sets IMEC apart in championing the rights of its members and the seafarers they employ.
