Capt. Belal Ahmed (Singapore)
Capt. Belal Ahmed is Managing Director of Western Shipping, an owner management tanker company providing marine transportation of chemicals and petroleum products to the energy market globally.
Capt. Navin Passey (India)
Navin started his sea career as a pre-sea cadet trainee on the "Training Ship Dufferin" in 1970. After graduating, he spent his early years with Shipping Corp. of India, and has thereafter, since 1978 been with Wallem Shipmanagement Ltd in senior positions at sea and ashore. He is currently Chairman, Wallem (India), having previously served as its Managing Director between 2004-17.
Navin is actively involved with various organizations and bodies in the Indian Maritime Industry.
He is the current Chairman of FOSMA and FMIRO, a member of the Government of India’s Task Force on Infrastructure Development & Mega Projects, a Director of ICSW Asia, BOG of the Indian Institute of Maritime Studies, Chairman of Norwegian Business Association of India, past Member of Advisory Board (Asia) DNV Sea Skills Committee, a Trustee of the Maritime Floating Staff Welfare Trust, a Member of Government of India Seafarers Welfare Board, a member of the Court of Indian Maritime University.
He is a Fellow of the Company of Master Mariners of India and has been a member of several Indian Parliamentary and Ministerial committees on shipping related matters.
Mr. Arndt Steffen (Cyprus)
Arndt has worked for the Schulte Group for the last 27 years. He joined Hanseatic Shipmanagement in Cyprus in 1991. Between 1991 and 2007 he held various managerial positions within the Fleet Personnel Department.
After Hanseatic merged with other companies of the Schulte Group in 2007, Mr Steffen joined the corporate management.
He is currently Deputy Corporate Director of Fleet Personnel.
Mr. Simon Spacey (Singapore)
Simon Spacey has over 20 years of crew management behind him. Today he is part of the senior management team within CMA Ships, a group of companies managing CMA CGM's growing fleet of state of the art Container vessels. He shares responsibility for over 100 vessels served by pool of over 4500 seafarers from across the world.
Simon has long been a member of IMEC, in 2009 he joined the board and has since participated in the last two rounds go the IBF negotiations.
