IMEC members benefit from the normal work of the organisation and the flow of information and advice which result from it. In addition, IMEC negotiates with ITF on benefits which apply uniquely to IMEC members and members of the Joint Negotiating Group.
These benefits are made available in recognition of the fact that the JNG represents employers who have chosen to enter into negotiations rather than to have ITF agreements imposed on them.

IBF PRIVILEGES
The issue by ITF of a "Green Card" to ships covered by IBF Agreements which identifies the ship as entitled to the privileges available through the IBF system

A reduction in the number of visits made to members ships by ITF inspectors
