111 IMEC Cadets Graduate from MAAP

IMEC is pleased to announce that 111 of its cadets at the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) graduated on the 2nd December.

Guest Speaker VADM Adeluis S. Bordado PN commended the 19th batch of graduates of the academy for their achievement in attaining their degrees in their respective fields.

“It may have been a challenging two years for all of you with the changes brought by the pandemic as well as the new online learning platforms. It is a monumental achievement to see you here standing with the support from your parents, peers and loved ones who may not be with you today.” VADM Bordado quoted to the graduates.

“Today marks another important occasion for these men and women standing here today as another milestone is achieved in their careers as future maritime leaders. Despite the constant changes inside the academy, their resilience in continuing on their education and training persisted serves as a testimony to what MAAP strives for in its graduates.” as VADM Eduardo Ma. Santos AFP (Ret) welcomed the guests in his opening remarks.

Four IMEC cadets were awarded with exemplary awards at the graduation:

  1. Cadet Ruth Jonah Agomaa – NROTC award
  2. Cadet Lee Martin Domingo – Leadership award
  3. Cadet Mark Lester Rakim – Best in Math and Science
  4. Cadet Manleigh Adrian Dioso – Professional Subjects Award – Marine Engineering
