52 IMEC CADETS CELEBRATE GRADUATION RITES

11 Dec 2020

We are pleased to report that 52 cadets have graduated today from MAAP after 4 years of hard work. The second batch of 2020 cadets also known as RECENSEREANS (Revenants of change, excellence and serenity across the oceans) bid farewell to the academy and are now ready to take the next step to complete all necessary STCW training for OIC NW/EW.

The IMEC cadets of Batch 2020 initiated their journey in the academy in 2017 and were divided into two batches during their final year in the academy.

The first batch of 68 cadets graduated in June 2020 and are now working on their licensure examinations or going back on board.

Graduating Fleet Commander Ens. Michael John Fernandez Cabalo said “Our parents missed our graduation due to the Covid situation, however we still feel blessed that we were able to accomplish what we have started.”

The 2 hour graduation celebrated the journey of the future officers as they move along and continue their path in the maritime industry.
