IMEC-MAAP Class 2019 Graduates

09 Dec 2019

We are pleased to announce that the 115 IMEC cadets who were part of the MAAP’s 2019, graduated on Saturday 7th December.

The guest speaker at the event was IMEC’s Chairman, Capt. Belal Ahmed, who said:

“Ladies and gentlemen, what you have achieved over the last 4 years has been remarkable. You have proven to your organisations, your sponsoring companies and most of all yourselves, that you have the capability of achieving great things and that this is only the beginning of your very own success story”.
And added “IMEC fully commenced its programme at MAAP in 2008, and after our graduation here today, our number of graduates will start to approach the 2,000 mark. Regardless if you are a cadet of IMEC, IMMAJ or any other organisation however, the reason why we are all in this great academy and sponsoring you, is down to quality. Whilst there are many academies in the Philippines, we believe that the graduates coming from MAAP are fit and able to meet the challenges of the modern shipping industry”.

IMEC encourages it’s cadets to develop their hobbies as well as their academics, throughout the 4.5 year programme. Deck Cadet graduate Khyleri Gancayco demonstrated his remarkable drawing skills by depicting all of his fellow IMEC batchmates in this picture, he titled ‘Last Mess’.
