IBF Agreements

IMEC negotiates a number of local Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) based on the IBF Framework periodically agreed between JNG and ITF.

Local IBF agreements reflect necessary adaptations to local circumstances in different countries around the world and can be broadly classed as Beneficial Ownership CBAs and Manpower Supply CBAs. The use of a particular CBA is regulated by the relevant IBF Special Agreement (SPA) and the approach can vary greatly depending on which ITF affiliate holds negotiating rights for a particular vessel and signs the relevant IBF SPA
